Band Takes

In 2020, when I really really missed live music, I had a little idea for a fun side project. A random generator that delivers hot takes on popular bands and their audiences, as if they’re scrawled in Sharpie on the bathroom mirrors of the dive bars and independent venues that we all wished were back open ASAP. I ended up writing a database of these resulting in about 53 million unique combinations. If you’re a fan of indie rock, thinking critically about online subcultures, or just want to turn your brain off and have a laugh, I hope you enjoy playing with this microsite I created here.
