Ah, New Year’s Eve, the evening that singlehandedly determines whether your next year will be puppies and sunshine or absolute garbage. This was a campaign I concepted for Gen Z-oriented travel brand EF Ultimate Break to drive sales for New Year’s Eve trips to Europe. The idea being: if you celebrate NYE in Europe, you will be five or six time zones ahead of, say, Times Square, New York City. Therefore, you would be “traveling through time” and celebrating the new year hours before anyone else back home.
And guess what? This goofy little idea moved the needle and helped sell more NYE trips than the previous year.
